Apaṇṇakaṃ ṭhānameke, dutiyaṃ āhu takkikā;
Some wise ones, led by the Bodhisatta, chose the infallible path, the path that truly brings welfare and happiness, leading to liberation from suffering without fail.
Một số người, các nhà luận lý, nói rằng điều không lầm lỗi là thứ hai;

Etadaññāya medhāvī, taṃ gaṇhe yadapaṇṇakanti* .
But others, foolish caravan leaders, being speculative, chose the second path, the fallible one, which is flawed and does not lead to liberation from suffering. A wise person, understanding the benefits and drawbacks of these two paths—the infallible and the speculative—should choose that which is infallible.
Bậc trí tuệ, sau khi biết điều này, hãy nắm giữ điều không lầm lỗi ấy.

The diligent caravan traders, digging in the sandy path, found an abundance of water there, in the open ground.
Những người không mệt mỏi, đào trên con đường cát, đã tìm thấy nước ở đó;

Evaṃ munī vīriya* balūpapanno, akilāsu vinde hadayassa santinti.
Likewise, a wise monk, endowed with the strength of vigorous effort, being diligent, attains the tranquility of mind, which is the noble Dhamma, such as jhāna, vipassanā, wisdom, abhiññā, and Arahantship, that brings peace to the mind. Why do you, who formerly exerted yourself for mere water, now slacken your effort in this Dispensation which bestows such a path and fruit, leading to liberation from suffering?
Cũng vậy, bậc hiền triết, đầy đủ tinh tấn và sức mạnh, không mệt mỏi sẽ tìm thấy sự an tịnh của tâm.
