The three knowledges have been attained, the Buddha’s teaching has been accomplished.”

Caraṃ ce nādhigaccheyya, ‘taṃ me dubbhagalakkhaṇaṃ’.

If he practices and does not attain, ‘that is a sign of my misfortune.’

‘‘Abbūḷhaṃ aghagataṃ vijitaṃ, ekañce ossajeyya kalīva siyā;

If one were to abandon one thing that is uprooted, gone to misery, and conquered, it would be like a villain;

The wise know those who speak but do not act.

Even so, well-spoken words are fruitless for one who does not act.

In it I dwell, peaceful. So if you wish, O sky-god, rain!

With purified knowledge, free from perplexity, I declare it in your presence.

My true aim has been attained, the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.

My training, being diligent, has been well-heard in your teaching;

Having heard her words, instructed by my mother,

With aroused energy and resolute mind, I attained the supreme enlightenment.

I am an Arahant, worthy of offerings, endowed with the three knowledges, a seer of the Deathless;

Having conquered the army of Namuci, I dwell without defilements.

Are completely cut off without remainder, and will not arise again.
