Satthuppasatthacaraṇaṃ saraṇaṃ janānaṃ,
Whose feet are praised by the Teacher, a refuge for beings,
Con xin đảnh lễ Chân của Bậc Đạo Sư đáng được tán thán, là nơi nương tựa của chúng sinh,

Brahmādimoḷi maṇiraṃsi samāvahantaṃ,
Bearing the radiant gems from the crowns of Brahmā and others,
Mang theo ánh sáng ngọc từ vương miện của chư Phạm thiên và các vị khác,

Paṅkeruhābhamudukomalacāruvaṇṇaṃ;
Whose beautiful body is soft and tender like a lotus;
Với sắc tướng đẹp đẽ, mềm mại, dịu dàng như hoa sen;

Vandāmi cakkavaralakkhaṇamādadhānaṃ.
I pay homage to (Him) who bears the excellent marks of the wheel.
Đấng mang các tướng tốt của bánh xe tối thượng.

Siddhaṃ jinena cirakālamatanditena,
Achieved by the Conqueror, untiring for a long time,
Con đường đã được Bậc Chiến Thắng thành tựu sau một thời gian dài không lười biếng,

Yaṃ bhāvako samadhigacchati khemamaggaṃ;
By which the practitioner attains the path to safety;
Mà hành giả đạt đến con đường an ổn;

Yaṃ kapparukkha rucidāna maṇiva bhāti,
Which shines like a wish-fulfilling tree, a radiant jewel of giving,
Mà chiếu sáng như ngọc báu của cây như ý (kapparukkha) ban phát điều mong muốn,

Taṃ dhammamagga masamaṃ paṇamāmi niccaṃ.
To that incomparable path of Dhamma, I ever pay homage.
Con xin luôn luôn đảnh lễ con đường Chánh pháp vô song ấy.

Santindriyaṃ sugatasūnuvaraṃ visuddhaṃ,
Whose faculties are tranquil, the excellent and pure disciples of the Fortunate One,
Con xin đảnh lễ Tăng đoàn vô cấu, cao quý,

Yaṃ dakkhiṇeyyamatadaṃ sucipuññakhettaṃ;
Who are worthy of offerings, bestowers of immense merit, a pure field of merit;
Bậc có các căn thanh tịnh, là con trai tối thượng của Đức Thiện Thệ, hoàn toàn thanh tịnh,

Tāṇesinaṃ saraṇamujjhitasabbadukkhaṃ,
A refuge for those seeking protection, who have abandoned all suffering,
Là ruộng phước thanh tịnh, đáng được cúng dường, ban cho quả vô thượng;

Vandāmi saṅgha managhaṃ sirasā mahagghaṃ.
I humbly pay homage to the Stainless Saṅgha, precious (above all).
Là nơi nương tựa của những ai tìm kiếm sự che chở, đã từ bỏ mọi khổ đau.

Yampattamettha ratanattayathomanena,
By the merit attained here through this praise of the Triple Gem,
Với công đức đã đạt được do tán thán Tam Bảo ở đây,

Puññena tena duritaṃ sakalaṃ paṇujja,
Having dispelled all evil by that merit,
Do công đức ấy, sau khi loại bỏ mọi tai ương,

Vakkhāmahaṃ sumadhuraṃ rasavāhinintaṃ,
I shall relate this exceedingly sweet Rasavāhinī,
Tôi sẽ kể lại Rasavāhinī ngọt ngào ấy,

Bho bho suṇantu sujanā bhimudāvahā sā.
Oh, good people, please listen; it brings great joy.
Hỡi các thiện nhân, xin hãy lắng nghe, điều đó mang lại niềm vui lớn.

Tatthatatthūpapannāni, vatthūni arahā pure;
Stories that arose here and there, the Arahants of old
Trước đây, chư vị A-la-hán đã kể các câu chuyện,

Abhāsuṃ dīpabhāsāya, ṭhapesuṃ taṃ purātanā.
Translated into the language of the island (Sri Lanka), and the ancients recorded them.
Phát sinh ở nhiều nơi, bằng tiếng Dīpa (tiếng Sinhala), và các bậc cổ xưa đã ghi lại chúng.

Mahāvihāre taṅgutta, vaṅkapariveṇavāsiko;
In the Mahāvihāra, residing in the Taṅgutta Vaṅka monastery,
Một vị Tỳ-kheo tên là Raṭṭhapāla,

Raṭṭhapāloti nāmena, sīlācāra guṇākaro.
A monk named Raṭṭhapāla, endowed with moral conduct and virtues,
Trú tại Tángutta Vaṅkapariveṇa trong Đại Tự viện, là bậc đầy đủ các đức hạnh giới và hạnh kiểm.

Hitāya parivattesi, pajānaṃ pāḷibhāsato;
Translated (it) for the benefit of beings from the Pāḷi language;
Vì lợi ích của chúng sinh, đã chuyển dịch chúng từ tiếng Pāḷi;

Punaruttādidosehi, tamāsi sabbamākulaṃ;
But it became entirely confused with faults like repetition;
Nhưng toàn bộ đã trở nên lộn xộn do các lỗi lặp lại và những lỗi khác;

Anākulaṃ karissāmi, taṃ suṇātha samāhitā.
I will make it clear, so listen attentively.
Tôi sẽ làm cho nó không còn lộn xộn, xin các vị hãy chú tâm lắng nghe.

Vitarāgā pure vocuṃ, yasmā tasmā hi bhāsitaṃ;
Since those free from craving spoke it in the past, therefore, what was spoken
Vì các bậc đã đoạn trừ tham ái (vitarāgā) đã nói trước đây, nên lời dạy này;

Etamādaraṇīyañhi, sādhu sādhūhi sabbadāti.
Is indeed worthy of respect, good and praiseworthy by good people always.
Thật đáng tôn kính, các bậc thiện nhân luôn tán thán là tốt lành, tốt lành thay!
