quickly wash your feet and sit down in a secluded spot.

in the middle watch of the night, I purified the divine eye.

In the last watch of the night, I shattered the mass of darkness;

then I arose, possessing the three knowledges (tevijjā); your instruction has been fulfilled.

Like the Tāvatiṃsa devas surrounding Sakka, unconquered in battle,

I shall live, having you as my leader; I am endowed with the three knowledges, taint-free.”

One who is born experiences suffering: slaughter, bondage, and affliction.

Aṇūpi aṇumattopi, vanatho me na vijjati.

Not even a tiny bit, not even an atom of craving exists in me.

Dù nhỏ nhất, dù chỉ một chút, tôi cũng không còn tham ái.”

"All my taints are destroyed, through my diligent meditation;

The three knowledges have been attained; the Buddha's Dispensation has been fulfilled."

"Indeed, my mother struck me with a mighty goad;

Verses connected with the highest goal, just as one who is compassionate.

Những bài kệ chứa đựng ý nghĩa tối thượng, như một người mẹ đầy lòng từ bi.”

"Having heard her words, my mother's instruction;

I was deeply moved by the Dhamma, for the attainment of security from bondage.

"Thus, with my mind directed to exertion, diligent day and night;

Urged by my mother, I touched the supreme peace."
