Yo pādanīrajavarodararādhitena^* ,

Who, by the excellent and noble veneration of the dust of his feet,

Bậc được phụng sự bằng bụi nơi chân cao thượng,

Lokattayena’vikalena nirākulena;

By the three worlds, undivided and unconfused;

Bởi ba cõi không thiếu sót, không xáo động;

Viññāpayī nirupameyyatamattano taṃ,

Made known his unequalled nature—that

Đã khiến tự thân đạt đến trạng thái vô song,

Vande munindamabhivandiya vandanīyaṃ.

Lord of Sages, worthy of veneration, I venerate.

Con xin đảnh lễ Bậc Đáng Đảnh Lễ, Bậc Đạo Sư của chư Hiền Triết.

Patto sapattavijayo jayabodhimūle,

Having achieved victory over his adversaries at the Bodhi tree,

Bậc đã đạt đến chiến thắng, chiến thắng kẻ thù tại cội Bồ-đề,

Saddhammarājapadaviṃ yadanuggahena;

Through whose grace he attained the state of the King of the True Dhamma;

Nhờ sự gia hộ của Ngài mà đạt được địa vị Chánh Pháp Vương;

Sattāpasatta^* vipulāmalasagguṇassa,

To that jewel of the essence of the True Dhamma, possessing immense, Stainless, and excellent qualities, praised by beings,

Con xin đảnh lễ Pháp Bảo tinh túy, quý báu, với vô vàn thiện pháp thanh tịnh,

Saddhammasāraratanassa namatthu tassa.

Homage be to it.

Được tất cả chúng sanh cao quý ca ngợi.

Yo bhājanattamabhisambhuṇi sagguṇassa,

Who was worthy of receiving the excellent qualities

Bậc đã trở thành nơi chứa đựng các thiện pháp,

Tassāpi dhammaratanassa mahārahassa;

Of that same jewel of the Dhamma, which is greatly precious;

Của Pháp Bảo vô cùng quý báu đó;

Sambhāvitaṃ sasirasāhitasannatehi,

That supreme Saṅgha, honored with reverent bows of the head,

Con xin đảnh lễ với đầu cúi xuống,

Sambhāvayāmi sirasā gaṇamuttamaṃ taṃ.

I honor with my head.

Đảnh lễ hội chúng tối thượng đó.

Ye’nantatantaratanākaramanthanena,

Who, by churning the ocean of countless diverse treatises,

Những bậc đã đạt được, nhờ sự khuấy động đại dương vô tận của các tông phái,

Manthā’calollasitañāṇavarena laddhā;

Obtained by the excellent knowledge that shone like Mount Manthara;

Bằng trí tuệ cao quý rực rỡ như núi khuấy động;

Sārā matāti sukhitā sukhayanti caññe,

Thinking, “These are essences,” found happiness and make others happy—

Những bậc đã đạt được tinh hoa giáo lý và tự an lạc, rồi làm cho người khác an lạc,

Te me jayanti guravo guravo guṇehi.

May those teachers, venerable in their qualities, be victorious for me.

Xin cho các bậc thầy của con, những bậc cao quý về đức hạnh, được thắng lợi.
