71-72. Ekekaṃ suttaṃ katvā ekādasa suttāni vuttāni avijjāya vasena desanāya anāgatattā, tathānāgamanañcassā catusaccavasena ekekassa padassa uddhaṭattā.
71-72. ‘Ekekaṃ suttaṃ katvā ekādasa suttāni vuttāni’ (Eleven suttas have been stated, making each a separate sutta), because the teaching by way of ignorance has not come to pass, and because its non-occurrence is due to each word being extracted by way of the Four Noble Truths.
71-72. Mười một kinh đã được nói từng kinh một vì sự thuyết giảng không đề cập đến vô minh, và sự không đề cập đó là do mỗi từ đã được trích dẫn theo bốn chân lý.
Kāmañca ‘‘āsavasamudayā avijjāsamudayo’’ti attheva aññattha suttapadaṃ, idha pana veneyyajjhāsayavasena tathā na vuttanti daṭṭhabbaṃ.
Although elsewhere there is indeed the Sutta passage “Ignorance arises from the origin of the influxes,” here it should be understood that it was not stated in that way due to the disposition of the audience.
Mặc dù ở nơi khác có câu kinh “do sự tập khởi của các lậu hoặc mà có sự tập khởi của vô minh”, nhưng ở đây cần hiểu rằng điều đó không được nói như vậy do ý định của những người cần được giáo hóa.
73. Ayaṃ satthā nāmāti ayaṃ ariyamaggassa atthāya sāsati vimuttidhammaṃ anusāsatīti satthā nāma.
73. ‘Ayaṃ satthā nāmā’: This means ‘teacher’, for he teaches for the sake of the Noble Path, instructing in the Dhamma of liberation.
73. Ayaṃ satthā nāmā (vị này tên là Đạo Sư) có nghĩa là vị này giáo hóa vì con đường thánh, giáo hóa pháp giải thoát, nên gọi là Đạo Sư.
Adhisīlādivasena tividhāpi sikkhā.
‘Tividhāpi sikkhā’ means the three trainings, by way of higher virtue and so on.
Tividhāpi sikkhā (cả ba học giới) theo giới học và các học giới khác.
Yogoti bhāvanānuyogo.
‘Yogo’ means devotion to meditation.
Yogo là sự tinh tấn tu tập.
Chandoti niyyānetā kattukamyatākusalacchando.
‘Chando’ means the wholesome desire to act, which leads out (to liberation).
Chando là kattukamyatākusalacchando (dục làm thiện) dẫn đến sự giải thoát.
Sabbaṃ bhāvanāya parissayaṃ sahati, sabbaṃ vāssa upakārāvahaṃ sahati vāhetīti sabbasahaṃ.
He endures all dangers to meditation, or he endures or carries everything that is beneficial to it, hence ‘sabbasahaṃ’ (all-enduring).
Chịu đựng mọi nguy hiểm trong tu tập, hoặc chịu đựng mọi thứ hữu ích, hoặc mang lại mọi thứ hữu ích, nên gọi là sabbasahaṃ (chịu đựng mọi thứ).
Appaṭivānīti na paṭinivattatīti appaṭivānī.
‘Appaṭivānī’ means not turning back, unwavering.
Appaṭivānī có nghĩa là không thoái lui.
Antarāya sahanaṃ mohanāsanavīriyaṃ ātappati kileseti ātappaṃ.
The endurance of obstacles, the energy that destroys delusion, heats up and defiles, is ‘ātappaṃ’ (ardor).
Sự chịu đựng chướng ngại, tinh tấn diệt trừ si mê là ātappaṃ (nhiệt tâm) làm phiền não các cấu uế.
Vidhinā īretabbattā pavattetabbattā vīriyaṃ.
‘Vīriyaṃ’ (energy) is that which should be aroused, should be put forth, by proper means.
Vīriyaṃ (tinh tấn) là do cần phải vận hành, cần phải thực hành theo phương pháp.
Satataṃ pavattiyamānabhāvanānuyogakammaṃ sātaccanti āha ‘‘satatakiriya’’nti.
The constant practice of sustained meditation is ‘sātaccaṃ’, so it is said “satatakiriya” (continuous action).
Việc tu tập tinh tấn được vận hành liên tục là sātaccaṃ, nên nói “satatakiriya” (hành động liên tục).
Tādisamevāti yādisī sati vuttā, tādisameva ñāṇaṃ, jarāmaraṇādivasena catusaccapariggāhakaṃ ñāṇanti attho.
‘Tādisamevā’ means knowledge of the same kind as the mindfulness described, that is, knowledge comprehending the Four Noble Truths by way of old age and death and so on.
Tādisamevā (cũng như vậy) có nghĩa là tuệ cũng như chánh niệm đã nói, tức là tuệ thấu hiểu bốn chân lý về già, chết và các pháp khác.
