Skilled in what is proper, he resided here, in the pair, the powerful one, be other (than ordinary);

Yakkho dabbike damiya nagare soḷase-topi vaṅke,

The Yakṣa, in Dabbi, subdued the city, in the sixteenth, even in crookedness,

At the foot of the tree, he, delighted, gave eighteen (items) from the shaking;

That city, built by a hundred ministers, and the eastern secret treasury of that^*,

May it truly provide sustenance, full of shade, and may it be purified during the time of dwelling here.
